(ANSA) - Rome, November 16 - Italy coach Gian Piero Ventura has been sacked after the Azzurri's shock failure to qualify for next year's World Cup in Russia but Italian Soccer Federation (FIGC) President Carlo Tavecchio is resisting calls to quit.
Tavecchio said he was "not willing to resign" after a crisis FIGC meeting on Wednesday.
