(ANSA) - Bolzano, November 15 - Austrian Interior Minister Wolfgang Sobotka has announced the start of checks for migrants on good trains at the Brenner Pass at the border with Italy as part of the coming into effect of trilateral controls, the APA agency reported on Wednesday.
"I agreed with my counterparts (Germany's) Thomas de Maizière and (Italy's) Marco Minniti that these controls will be conducted right from the Italian side of the Brenner," Sobotka was quoted as saying by APA.
"Illegal migration is not a forgivable misdemeanor and we must do everything to stop the inhuman business of smuggling".
