New probes on 2013 boat wreck that killed 300, 60 kids

(ANSA) - Rome, November 13 - A Rome judge on Monday rejected a petition to drop an investigation into the wreck of a Syrian boat in waters near Lampedusa on October 11, 2013, in which 300 people died, including around 60 children. The judge ordered new probes be carried out.
    Seven officers and NCOs of the Navy and Coast Guard are under investigation in relation to the case.
