'Too gaudy' gay tomb causes stir in Brianza

(ANSA) - Milan, November 6 - A gay man's allegedly too gaudy tomb has caused a stir in a Brianza town.
    The tomb of Carlo Annoni, who died at 61 in April, is a huge box in phosphorescent colours ranging from electric blue to bright yellow, plastered with large photos of the late nurse taken by his partner of 36 years, Corrado Spanger.
    The tomb has quickly become a popular visitors' site.
    But the centre-right Forza Italia (FI) party in the town of Mariano Comense has filed a petition to restrict tombs' colour schemes, saying "they (gays) want equality so they should behave like everyone else". Spanger told reporters: "Carlo and I wanted to show that gay love, if lived with intensity, like we did, gives you a colorful life".
