Travel Literature Festival returns to Rome

Among planned events, a photography exhibit on refugee minors

(ANSAmed) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 19 - The 10th edition of the "Festival della Letteratura di Viaggio" (Travel Literature Festival) will return to Rome on September 22-24, following stops in Ostuni on September 8-10 and in Brindisi (September 18).
    The festival is dedicated to tales of the world, places, and culture, through various forms of travel narrative, and in Rome will take place at Villa Medici with the awarding of the La Navicella prize to Moroccan-born writer Tahan Ben Jelloun.
    Three photography exhibitions will open to the public at Villa Celimontana, headquarters of the Italian Geographic Society, as part of the festival: "Journey Around the World in 80 Images", "Catalonia des del cel" (Catalonia is the festival's guest of honour) and "Who Wants to be a Minor?", by Lebanon-based German photographer Timon Koch.
    Koch accompanied experts from Mixed Migration Platform in their research work on living conditions and legal protection of unaccompanied minors, mainly Syrian refugees, in Lebanon and Greece, working in particular with Luigi Achilli, a researcher from the Migration Policy Center in Florence.(ANSAmed).
