Tourist reports attempted rape on Rome city hall steps

(ANSA) - Rome, September 13 - A Belgian tourist has reported that she was the victim of an attempted rape by a young Israeli man late on Tuesday on the steps of Rome city hall, sources said Wednesday. The tourism and the alleged attacker are both at a municipal police station in the city. The police are also questioning witnesses. The respective embassies have been informed.
