(ANSA) - Rome, September 13 - Italy, France and Germany on Wednesday welcomed measures announced by European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker for tighter controls on takeovers by non-EU investors in strategic sectors. In a joint statement, the countries praised the move as an "important step" towards fair competition in Europe that gave "greater protection". The three countries presented proposals in February to kick off the debate on this issue.
