Italy sends EU pasta, rice ingredients decrees

Italy on Monday sent the European Commission decrees introducing compulsory labelling of raw materials for rice and pasta wheat, ANSA sources said. The decrees by Farm Minister Maurizio Martina and Industry Minister Carlo Calenda must now be assessed by the EU executive. For rice and durum wheat, the decrees say the sites of cultivation, processing and packaging must be indicated.
