(ANSA) - Rome, March 31 - A 30-day ban on catching tellins, small marine molluscs that are a popular ingredient for spaghetti dishes and bruschettas, comes into force in Italy on Saturday.
Tellin prices have collapsed due to a four-fold rise in output compared to last season.
Experts say this sector of the market is badly affected by illegal trading practices.
