(ANSA) - Rome, March 9 - The supreme Court of Cassation on
Thursday sent to the European Court of Human Rights appeals by a
number of ballerinas at the Rome Opera House who were forced to
retire at 47 when the male retirement age is 52. The rule may
break EU rules on sex discrimination, the Italian court said.
The Cassation Court said it was sending the case dossier to the
European court "immediately".
