Redazione Ansa

(ANSA) - Palermo, March 1 - An unspecified number of dead people were on record as getting round-the-clock medical assistance from regional health bodies, according to a probe into disabled benefit cheating ordered by Governor Rosario Crocetta after the recent resignation of Gianluca Micciché as regional family policy chief, sources said Wednesday. The scandal is one of many cases of benefit cheating around Italy.
Several cases have been in southern Italy, with Campania, the region around Naples, and Sicily leading the way.
