(ANSA) - Rome, January 23 - The tragedy caused by quakes and snow in some central Italian regions "is also showing us the best face of our country, our people, ready to put their lives at risk to save others' lives; willing to give up something of theirs to share it with those who have lost everything," Italian Bishops Conference (CEI) chief Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco said Monday. "This tragedy is delivering an appeal for a full common purpose," Bagnasco added.
