Sardinian judge arrested for alleged corruption

Two Emerald Coast businessmen also arrested

(ANSA) - Olbia, December 1 - Police on Thursday placed a judge on house arrest for alleged corruption in the Sardinian town of Tempio Pausania, in the Gallura region of the island's north. The judge, Vincenzo Cristiano, is originally from Campania but has worked in the Sardinian court for more than 10 years. Two businessmen with interests on the island's Emerald Coast were also arrested in connection with the investigation conducted by the Rome prosecutor's office.
    One of them, Manuel Spano of Olbia, owns a company called 'Centro Musica', which provides music for parties and shows including on the Emerald Coast.
    The other, Umberto Galizia, is a businessman from Naples.
