(ANSA) - Rome, November 21 - Gondoliers will be charged 5%
VAT under a 2017 budget amendment approved by the House budget
committee Monday, political sources said.
Gondoliers were previously exempt.
The new 5% rate will also apply to hydrofoils and ferries,
the sources said.
