Nursery school teacher suspended for mistreating kids

(ANSA) - Fabriano, October 25 - A nursery school teacher in the Marche town of Fabriano was suspended for mistreating kids Tuesday.
    Police said she slapped, pulled and pushed children and called them names like "imbecile", "turd", "loser" and "shitting mouse".
    According to footage from cameras police installed after a mother's complaint, the 50-year-old also kept the "bad" children for hours in "the dark corner" of the room while they stood and cried their eyes out.
    The teacher worked with three to five-year-olds.
    It is the latest in a string of cases of maltreatment of kids in nursery and primary schools across Italy.
