Mattarella slams PC theft from quake town school

(ANSA) - Sondrio, September 30 - President Sergio Mattarella on Friday condemned the theft of computers from a school in the earthquake-stricken Marche town of Acquasanta Terme as "an offence against Italy". He said the theft was "particularly serious, intolerable and to be prosecuted with the utmost severity". Mattarella said the theft "constitutes a hateful attempt to steal the future of the children of that town. It is an offence to that wide wave of solidarity that sprang from across Italy" towards the survivors of the August 24 quake that levelled villages and killed 297 people.
