(ANSA) - Vatican City, September 15 - Man "scores an own goal" when he degrades his God-given dignity, Pope Francis told the Italian Bible Association (ABI) in an audience Thursday.
"That happens," the pope said, "when we barter our dignity, when we embraced idolatry, when we make a place in our hearts for the experience of idols."
