New lows for 5-year and 10-year State bonds

Treasury sells all 6.5 billion euros' worth at auction

(ANSA) - Rome, July 28 - The average interest on Italy's five-year and 10-year BTP state bonds dropped to new lows on Thursday, when the Treasury managed to sell all 6.5 billion euros worth of the two varieties of paper it put up for auction.
    The rate on the five-year bond dropped to 0.26%, compared to 0.33% in a June action, while the 10-year rate fell to 1.24%, down from the previous low of 1.35% set in March. The Treasury also placed two billion euros of CCTEU bonds marturing in July 2013 at a new low of 0.38%.
