Fendi marks 90 years with catwalk show at Trevi Fountain

(ANSA) - Rome, July 8 - Fendi celebrated its 90th anniversary with a catwalk show at the Trevi Fountain in Rome on Thursday evening, ahead of the opening of Altaroma fashion week on Friday.
    Forty top models including Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid presented the Maison's new autumn/winter collection inspired by Nordic fairy tales to a select group of 200 guests, who could also admire the recent restoration of the fountain funded by the label with a contribution of 2.18 million euros.
    The event was followed by a private dinner on the Pincio Terrace of Villa Borghese with an exclusive and limited guest list.
    Fendi has also marked 90 years since the opening of its first boutique in Via del Plebiscito with a book of photographs entitled East of the sun and west of the moon, and with a free exhibition at Palazzo della Civiltà from July 9-October 23 under the title Fendi Roma: The Artisanas of Dreams. Altaroma runs until July 11 and this year is presided by Silvia Venturini Fendi.
