(ANSA) - Rome, June 15 - Rubbish lay uncollected in the
streets across Italy Wednesday on the second day of a strike by
waste-collection workers.
Unions said the stoppage had been staged by an
"extraordinary" 90% of sector workers in a bid to secure a new
national contract after "two and a half years of fruitless
efforts".
