(ANSA) - Milan, June 9 - Italian fashion house Missoni will
create the costumes for the Japan Orfeo opera project planned to
celebrate the 150th anniversary of bilateral relations between
Italy and Japan.
The opera, a reinterpretation of Claudio Monteverdi's
L'Orfeo about the Greek hero Orpheus, is being directed by
Stefano Vizioli and is due to be performed in Kamakura on
October 7 and 8 and in Tokyo on October 12 and 13.
It integrates Japanese performance art into the show, and
includes a new tragic finale created by the Japanese composer
Ryusuke Numajiri. Italian actors and musicians will perform
