(ANSA) - Rome, May 4 - Premier Matteo Renzi took questions from the public on a range of issues on his live #Matteorisponde feed Wednesday. "I don't fear any candidate," he said of the upcoming Rome mayoral election in June. "If I were a Roman I would choose (Democratic Party candidate Roberto) Giachetti". He added his constitutional reform law does not touch on the president, the premier, or the makeup of the executive, "no matter what some constitutionalists or not very well-informed citizens say". Renzi confirmed a referendum on his constitutional reform law will be held "in mid-October" and renewed his call for people to set up self-financed grassroots committees to campaign for a 'yes' vote. The premier also said Tod's leather goods execs Diego and Andrea Della Valle are set to unveil a further investment in Rome's iconic Colosseum at the end of the month. He called it "a marvelous project with an act of patronage (the Della Valle brothers) are making for the future of Rome". The Della Valles have financed the Colosseum's latest renovation.
