RAI managers suspended in graft probe

(ANSA) - Rome, April 27 - Two RAI State broadcaster managers, Maurizio Ciarnò and Stefano Montesi were suspended by a judge Wednesday in a probe into alleged lighting contracts for businessman David Biancifiori. Also suspended was former RAI director of photography Ivan Pierri. The judge said "a full-blown corruption system" had emerged over the supply of lighting services for RAI programmes including the Sanremo Song Fest in 2013.
