Rotarians to attend papal Jubilee audience

Holding conference on refugee rights at LUMSA

(ANSA) - Vatican City, April 26 - Some 8,000 Rotarians will attend Pope Francis' weekly Jubilee audience in St. Peter's Square on April 30, the international organization said Tuesday.
    A delegation of Rotary Club members will meet with the pope after the public audience.
    On the day prior, the Rotary Club will participate in a conference on the global challenges faced by refugees and their right to access to education as path to integration and human development.
    Speakers at the conference being held Friday from 17-18:30 at the Libera Università Maria SS. Assunta (LUMSA) private university in Rome will be UNHCR spokesperson Carlotta Sami and two refugees from Kenya and Syria. Rotary International is a secular organization whose stated human rights purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian services, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and to advance goodwill and peace around the world.
