Italy signs deal for two Iran high-speed rail lines

(ANSA) - Rome, April 12 - State-controlled rail company Ferrovie dello Stato (FS) on Tuesday signed a deal with Tehran to build two high-speed rail lines in Iran.
    A framework cooperation accord was signed in Tehran by FS CEO Renato Mazzoncini and the president of Iranian rail company RAI Pour Seyed Aghaei in the presence of Premier Matteo Renzi and President Hassan Rouhani. The deal for lines from Tehran to Hamedan and Qom is worth some three billion euros, sources close to the accord said.
