(ANSA) - Berlin, April 12 - Austrian Interior Minister
Johanna Mikl-Leitner on Tuesday said Italian agitation at Vienna
starting work on a border fence at the Brenner Pass was
"incomprehensible", according to the APA news agency.
Mikl-Leitner said Austria was "now punctually putting into
practice what was announced weeks ago and put on the table in a
clear way last week in Rome". Austria is building a 250-metre
fence at road links with Italy in view of an expected flow of
migrants and refugees across the Mediterranean into Italy.
