(ANSA) - Milan, March 21 - Police in the Milan suburb of
Cassano d'Adda on Monday arrested a 32-year-old Romanian man
accused of attempted murder and robbery for allegedly fracturing
a woman's skull with a glass-breaking hammer in an attempt to
rob her on a train.
The 22-year-old victim didn't lose consciousness and was
able to provide details that led to the man's arrest.
She successfully underwent an operation at Milan's San
Raffaele Hospital to reduce the skull fracture.
