(ANSA) - Rome, March 21 - The Jesuit Curia in Rome marked the extraordinary Holy Jubilee of Mercy with three separate events culminating in a lunch with homeless people, the House of the Superior General said on Monday.
On March 13, members of the Curia led by the community superior and weekend prison visitor Father Joaquín Barrero celebrated mass at Rome's Regina Coeli prison, a statement said.
On Friday, the community made a pilgrimage through the Holy Door of Mercy at St Peter's Basilica before celebrating mass at the tomb of Saint Peter in the Vatican Grottoes. Finally, on Sunday approximately 30 homeless people housed in the Dono di Misericordia dormitory at the General Curia joined the community for lunch. The dormitory was gifted by the Father General Adolfo Nicolás to Pope Francis as a place of temporary shelter for the homeless, the statement added.
