Renzi gives EU leaders copies of 'Fire at Sea'

(ANSA) - Brussels, March 7 - Premier Matteo Renzi has given each EU leader at a migration summit a DVD copy of Fuocoammare ('Fire at Sea'), a documentary about the plight of refugees, the premier's spokesperson Filippo Sensi tweeted on Monday. Italian director Gianfranco Rosi won the top prize at the 66th Berlin Film Festival for his documentary on the plight of asylum seekers as they wash up on the shores of the Sicilian island of Lampedusa, which is the first landfall for migrant vessels leaving from the coast of Libya.
