Police reportedly search home and Lula Institute

(ANSA) - Rio de Janeiro - Federal police on Friday questioned former Brazilian president, Luis Inacio Lula da Silva, in connection with an extensive corruption probe.
Police also reportedly searched the former president's home in Sao Bernardo do Capo and the Lula Institute in Sao Paulo, his non-profit organization.
Prosecutor Carlos Fernando dos Santos Lima on Friday said no arrest warrant has been issued against the former president nor his wife, Marisa Leticia.
Federal prosecutors reportedly suspect that Lula, who served twice as president, from 2003 until 2010, benefited from a bribery scheme involving oil company Petrobas.
Dozens of politicians and managers are under investigation or have been arrested for allegedly overcharging Petrobas contracts, using part of the money for bribes or electoral campaigns.
