(ANSA) - Milan, February 22 - The Milan bourse gained ground
in midday trading Monday as the benchmark FTSE Mib index jumped
by 2.6%.
Investors focused on bank shares, with Banco Popolare
(+4.7%), UniCredit (+4.4%) and UBI (+4.3%).
Oil and gas industry contractor Saipem, a subsidiary of
Italian energy company ENI, added 5.8% and Telecom was up 5%.
