Sicilian singer Miele not readmitted to Sanremo final

(ANSA) - Sanremo, February 12 - Sanremo Music Festival artistic directors and directors of State broadcaster RAI decided on Friday not to readmit Sicilian singer Miele into competition at the festival's final judging Saturday.
    The singer, who was competing in the festival's new talent category, was declared Thursday night's winner.
    However, following technical difficulties with the first vote, she was subsequently eliminated from the competition after garnering only 49% in a second vote, losing to Francesco Gabbani.
    On Friday Miele had asked RAI to admit her as the fifth competitor in Saturday's final.
