Italy expecting heavy rains, wind, especially in south

(ANSA) - Rome, February 10 - Civil Protection authorities on Wednesday issued a weather warning for heavy rains and wind expected Thursday in central and southern Italy.
    Heavy downpours with lightning storms and strong winds are expected to begin overnight Wednesday in the regions of Basilicata, Calabria and Puglia.
    An orange warning (moderate) will be in effect Thursday for the northern Tyrrhenian coast of Calabria, and a yellow (ordinary) warning will be in effect for nearly all of central and southern Italy.
