(ANSA) - Rome, February 9 - A bill stiffening penalties for
vandalising Italy's cultural heritage is ready, Culture Minister
Dario Franceschini said Tuesday.
The bill sets a maximum prison term of 15 years for those
found guilty of damaging the country's cultural heritage.
The bill comes amid controversy over vandalism to the
Colosseo Quadrato (Square Colosseum) in Rome's Fascist-era EUR
district.
