(ANSA) - Rome, February 5 - Rome was gridlocked Friday as
the body of St Pio was moved from a church on one side of the
Tiber to St Peter's Basilica on the other where the famously
stigmata-bearing saint is to be celebrated by Pope Francis as
part of the Jubilee.
Some 20,000 people trailed behind the cortege of the saint,
better known as Padre Pio.
A long stretch of road along the river was closed to
traffic, causing a huge logjam of cars.
