(see related)(ANSA) - Brussels, December 15 - The European
Commission on Tuesday proposed introducing a new European travel
document to facilitate repatriation of illegal migrants. The new
document will have a uniform European format and will be valid
for one trip only. Some half million expulsion orders are issued
every year in Europe, but just 40% were carried out in 2014 due
to lack of valid documents for those to be repatriated.
