(see related)(ANSA) - Rome, December 7 - Delegates from
Italy's Islamic community will attend the December 8 ceremonies
for the start of the pope's Jubilee or Holy Year of Mercy, the
Union of Islamic Communities in Italy (UCOII) said Monday. "A
delegation will be in St. Peter's Square tomorrow," UCOII
President Izzedine Elzir told ANSA. "It is a gesture of sharing
in this great event and in the mercy that unites the whole of
humanity, to join together against fear". The UCOII firmly
condemned the November 13 Islamist terror attacks in Paris.
