(ANSA) - Rome, December 2 - Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni
told the Senate Wednesday that it would be "irresponsible not to
posit the problem of involving Russia" in the anti-terror fight.
Italy, he said, "remains convinced of the existence of this
potential and is working in these hours for direct relations
between Russia and Turkey for a de-escalation and to avert the
recurrence of incidents" such as Turkey's recent downing of a
Russian jet.
