'Weighing more collaboration with France agst ISIS' says foreign minister

(ANSA) - Florence, November 27 - Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni said Friday the Italian and French interior ministries were "discussing possible further forms of cooperation" in the fight against Islamic State (ISIS) between Iraq and Syria. "We are studying forms of further collaboration," he said, adding "we see absolutely eye to eye, as was shown yesterday" at a meeting in Paris between Premier Matteo Renzi and President Francois Hollande. Italy is making reconnaissance flights in Iraq but not in Syria, where it has said it will stop short of supporting airstrikes against ISIS.
