CCTV surveillance of pilgrims for Jubilee complete

State-of-the-art lavatories being built from next week

(ANSA) - Rome, November 27 - Work on setting up closed-circuit television surveillance on pilgrims during the Jubilee in Rome has been completed, the city said Friday.
    The CCTV camera installation is complete in Piazza Pia including the pedestrian area, the Via Ottaviano-Via Giulio Cesare, near St Peter's, Viale San Paolo and Via Ostiense from Parco Schuster to the Porta San Paolo and Piazza Risorgimento, the city government said.
    Also started Friday was work due to last 60 days to resurface the via Zanardelli and build new pavements, drainage and street signs.
    At the start of next week work also due to take 60 days on totally rennovating eight public lavatories will kick off with installation of state-of-the art urinals and an increase in the number of 'stalls'.
