EU aiming for 60% recycling by 2025

(ANSA) - Brussels, November 26 - The European Union aims to achieve 60% recycling of urban waste by 2025, according to a draft document ANSA has seen. The document on recycling is part of a packet of measures designed to achieve a circular industrial economy, or one with two kinds of material flows - biological nutrients, which re-enter the biosphere safely, and technical nutrients, which circulate without entering the biosphere. The packet is expected to be submitted to the EU on December 2.
