Man who forced wife to have 7 abortions investigated

(ANSA) - Andria, November 13 - A man who allegedly forced his wife to have seven abortions is being investigated for domestic abuse and aggravated bodily harm, sources said Friday.
    Police also issued a restraining order against him after his wife turned up at the emergency room with multiple bone fractures and severe wounds.
    The battered woman found the courage to report her 53-year-old husband after what turned out to be years of violence and abuse.
    She tried to report him to police 10 years ago, but withdrew her complaint when he reportedly threatened to set fire to her and their daughters.
