(ANSA) - Milan, October 21 - The rightwing Northern League
said Wednesday it would hold rallies outside major courthouses
across the north starting at 17:30 Thursday in support of
Francesco Sicignano, a pensioner who shot dead an Albanian
intruder Monday night and is under investigation for voluntary
manslaughter. "The League stands with those who defend
themselves," it said, adding that the rallies would be attended
by party members "and ordinary citizens".
