Govt to slash IRES business tax

(ANSA) - Rome, October 15 - The government's 2016 budget bill reportedly includes a measure allowing people over 63 to work part-time instead of retiring outright, sources said Thursday.
Economy Minister Pier Carlo Padoan outlined the draft 27-30 billion-euro budget, which also reportedly includes cuts in the IRES business tax as of next year, to President Sergio Mattarella late on Wednesday ahead of a cabinet meeting later today. The part-time option for retirement-age workers and the IRES tax cut would cost 100 million euros at least.
The budget bill comes in four chapters, titled Strong Italy, Simple Italy, Just Italy, and Proud Italy.
