(ANSA) - Rimini, October 8 - Italian hoteliers' association Federalberghi said in a report Thursday that the number of people staying with its members increased 4% in the summer compared to the June-September period in 2014. The association added that this contributed to a 3.2% rise in guests in the first nine months of 2015 compared to the same period last year. Federalberghi President Bernabò Bocca said this rise should not be used as an excuse by Italian local councils to raise the tourist taxes that many apply on hotel stays.
