(ANSA) - New York, September 29 - The number of foreign
fighters joining jihadi groups like ISIS has risen by 70% and
they are coming from more than 100 countries, United Nations
Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said Tuesday.
"The threat posed by extremist groups like ISIS is
growing," Ban told a terrorism summit hosted by US President
Barack Obama.
"This threat to international security requires a united
response," he said.
