(ANSA) - Rome, September 15 - New hires in agriculture in
southern Italy rose by 11% in the second quarter of 2015,
farmers' association Coldiretti said Tuesday.
The number of women hired in southern regions in the same
period rose by 31%, Coldiretti added.
The figures put the agriculture sector in the
unemployment-marred Mezzogiorno in first place for growth in
employment in 2015, the association said.
