(ANSA) - Venice, September 3 - Italian President Sergio
Mattarella on Thursday said current tragedies in the immigrant
crisis in Europe serve as persuasion in prompting the EU to take
action.
"The evidence of the facts and of the tragedies which one
is confronted with have a very high persuasive force,"
Mattarella said upon his arrival at the Venice Biennale art
exhibition.
