(ANSA) - Lecco, August 27 - Finance police in the northern
city of Lecco on Thursday seized bank accounts, cars and real
estate worth 600,000 euros from a couple whom they cited for
loan sharking.
The husband and wife - aided by a broker whom police
suspect of money laundering - allegedly approached financially
troubled businessmen who no longer had access to bank credit,
charging interest rates of up to 250%.
