Times reports ANSA arranged-marriage terror reportage

Dossier and witnesses on risk of terrorist infiltration

Redazione Ansa

(ANSA) - London, August 24 - An investigation by ANSA into the risks of terrorist infiltration of arranged marriages that anti-terrorist investigators are probing has been picked up by the Times of London newspaper in its online and print issues.
The investigation denounces the existence in Rome of an organisation that has erected a system of arranged marriages between indigent Italians and immigrants so that they can obtain residence permits.
Two days after the July 11 terror attack in Cairo two urgent requests reached the organisation offering double payments, especially for a Syrian who concluded his negotiation while waiting in the desert.
In general migrants pay the network several thousand euros for arranging a marriage with an Italian citizen.
